Why BioSculpt Advanced Biomarker Analysis Matters
A standard lipid panel looks at total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and triglycerides — but it stops there. Our BioSculpt Advanced Biomarker Analysis allows us to look beyond “good” and “bad” cholesterol and evaluate additional markers that provide a more complete picture of your true cardiovascular risk and inform strategies that meaningfully impact HealthSpan.
The same is true for metabolic health. Fasting glucose and hemoglobin A1c are important measurements, but metabolic dysfunction and insulin resistance can begin developing long before those numbers reach the level for diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. Looking deeper allows us to identify earlier signs of cardiometabolic dysfunction and guide you to take action sooner.
By the time routine markers cross diagnostic thresholds, the underlying dysfunction has likely been developing for many years. During that time, inflammation, insulin resistance, and atherosclerotic disease have progressively damaged blood vessels and other tissues. Our BioSculpt Advanced Biomarker Analysis gives us an opportunity to recognize these processes earlier and intervene before more significant damage occurs.
These processes do not occur in isolation. Cardiovascular and metabolic health are closely intertwined; insulin resistance, visceral fat, inflammation, abnormal lipids, and vascular disease commonly develop together and amplify your risk over time.
Unlike genomic testing, which reveals inherited predispositions that do not change, biomarkers show us what is happening in your body right now. They also provide an objective way to track the impact of precision interventions over time.
BioSculpt Advanced Biomarker Analysis is one component of the broader BioSculpt Precision Health Framework. Not every patient needs every layer of assessment. Your BioSculpt team recommends the diagnostics and interventions best aligned with your goals, symptoms, personal and family history, risk profile, and overall clinical picture.
When used alongside other testing and programs, BioSculpt Advanced Biomarker Analysis helps us connect what is happening in your body now with your genetic predispositions, cellular nutrition status, hormone function, body composition, and the way your body is aging. Our comprehensive Precision Health Framework provides a more complete, precise, and actionable picture of your health than any single test could offer.

What We Evaluate
BioSculpt Advanced Biomarker Analysis includes a comprehensive panel of key cardiovascular, metabolic, inflammatory, and related biomarkers.
Cardiovascular Risk: Looking Beyond the Standard Cholesterol Panel
We look beyond standard cholesterol measurements to advanced markers that provide a deeper view of cardiovascular risk. Three particularly important markers include:
Lp(a): Hidden Genetic Cardiovascular Risk
Lp(a) is a genetically determined cardiovascular risk factor that can be significantly elevated in people who look and feel completely healthy. Because it is not included in standard cholesterol testing, this risk can remain hidden forever — a serious cardiovascular event is often the first sign that anything is wrong. Knowing your Lp(a) can fundamentally change how we guide you to manage your cardiovascular risk, allowing us to identify inherited vulnerabilities early, determine whether additional cardiovascular testing or imaging is warranted, and build a personalized prevention strategy to directly address your risk.
ApoB: Cholesterol Particles That Raise Your Risk of Heart Attack and Stroke
ApoB measures the number of cholesterol particles that can damage your arteries, not just the amount of cholesterol that’s in your blood. Each ApoB-containing particle can enter the artery wall and contribute to atherosclerotic plaque, which can narrow or block blood flow and increase your risk of heart attack and stroke. You can have normal LDL and still have elevated ApoB, which means a standard cholesterol panel may miss serious cardiovascular risk.
hsCRP: The Silent Signal of Inflammation
High-sensitivity C-reactive protein detects low-grade inflammation that can quietly fuel atherosclerosis and plaque instability, increasing your risk of heart attack and stroke. It’s a powerful predictor of cardiovascular risk, even in people who feel completely healthy and have normal cholesterol. Because inflammation can build for years before symptoms appear, elevated hsCRP can expose hidden risk while there is still time to intervene and help redirect you away from a pathway toward disease.
Healthy on Paper. Hidden Risk Beneath the Surface.
One BioSculpt patient came to us in her late 50s with a lifelong commitment to fitness, nutrition, and healthy living. She felt great, maintained a healthy weight, and her bloodwork was consistently excellent.
Because she was motivated to Optimize HealthSpan™, she chose to look deeper.
BioSculpt Advanced Biomarker Analysis revealed elevated Lp(a), a risk she had no reason to suspect, and follow-up coronary artery calcium testing identified plaque that her routine bloodwork had never suggested was present.
That discovery fundamentally changed her prevention strategy. She underwent additional cardiovascular testing, established care with a BioSculpt-recommended cardiologist, and received a personalized treatment plan to address risk that otherwise would have remained hidden. She credits BioSculpt for “saving her life.”
Her BioSculpt Functional Genomics™ results provided additional layers of insight, informing a prevention strategy personalized not only to her cardiovascular risk, but to her broader genetic vulnerabilities. She is now being guided toward her goal of HealthSpan Optimization.
By every routine measure, she appeared healthy. Advanced testing revealed a very different story.
Metabolic Health & Insulin Resistance
Identifying insulin resistance and metabolic dysfunction earlier allows us to address underlying drivers and take targeted action before they progress.
Because cardiovascular and metabolic dysfunction are intimately connected, these findings also help us understand your broader cardiometabolic risk and prioritize the strategies that can have the greatest impact.
BioSculpt Advanced Biomarker Analysis also evaluates markers that give us a broader view of inflammation, hormone function, recovery, and resilience.
The value is often not in any single number. It is in seeing how these markers work together, where dysfunction may be emerging, and how your biology is responding to intervention.
How BioSculpt® Advanced Biomarker Analysis™ Works
Start With a Consultation
We begin with your goals, health history, family history, lifestyle, any symptoms, and the broader context of how you are feeling and functioning.
Analyze Your Advanced Biomarkers
Your BioSculpt experts interpret your findings in the context of your health history, family history, symptoms, goals, and broader clinical picture to understand your individual risk.
Create a Personalized, Strategic Plan
We translate those findings into actionable, personalized strategies for HealthSpan Optimization™. Depending on your results, this may include additional laboratory testing or imaging, referral to a hand-picked cardiologist or other specialist, continuous glucose monitoring, BioSculpt Body Composition Tracking, BioSculpt GLP-1 Microdosing, BioSculpt Hormone Optimization Therapy, nutrition and supplementation guidance, or refinements to your fitness and recovery strategy.
Ideal Candidates
BioSculpt Advanced Biomarker Analysis is especially valuable for patients who:
- Are focused on prevention, longevity, and HealthSpan Optimization
- Want deeper insight into possible cardiovascular or cardiometabolic risk
- Have been told their routine cholesterol or glucose testing is “normal” but want a more comprehensive assessment to detect possible hidden risks
- Have a personal or family history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, metabolic dysfunction, or other chronic disease
- Want to know their Lp(a), ApoB, hsCRP, or other advanced cardiovascular markers
- Are concerned about insulin resistance, inflammation, excess visceral fat, or metabolic dysfunction
- Are making changes related to hormones, fitness, nutrition, supplementation, GLP-1 therapy, or body composition and want guidance backed by clinical data
- Want an objective way to measure the impact of their BioSculpt interventions
The BelleSante™ Difference
